| The wood-handled, whalebone page turner is 9.5-inches overall length, most likely designed for a gentleman’s library, to protect rare book pages from hand oils. The 1.0-ounce, 7.5-inch whalebone busk is tapered on one end to assist inserting into a narrow corset pocket. The dark patina Britannia busk is 11-inches long. The last Yankee busk is 12.75-inches long. Both scrimworks are from the 1870s. | |||||||||||||||||
