Scrimshaw Gallery - Knife Handles        page 2
			This "Double Edge Fighter" knife was made in 1978 by Master Smith P.J. Tomes.  The handle was carved by Garry VannAusdle, who was very well known in the 1970s, and is mentioned in the first "Scrimshaw Connection".  Tomes is still making knives, but VannAusdle no longer carves.  The Sperm whale tooth handle is carved into the shape of a Parrot Head.
								A set of matching tanto knives made by Ray Beers. The scrimwork on ivory is by Bob Engnath.
