Karen & Wayne Reno

Karen is the scrimshander, although Wayne has done scrimwork in the past and still does some occassional pieces.  Wayne is a custom knife maker and a master engraver.  When you check out thier website, below, please view his knives & gun engravings, even if you aren't a gun or knife collector.  His work is awesome.  Wayne also makes the stands for the scrimshaw art and it is definitly worth price!

Karen does a wide range of subject matter - probably most anything you want - but the constant demand for her scrims for Waynes knife and gun grips, many of which are nudes, must have really honed her ability to do the human figure well. Check out some of her mermaids below and in the gallerys . . . they are super. Her wildlife scrims are also of high quality as the pics below will testify.

Karen and Wayne keep pretty busy and you will have to get in line as is typical for most good artists, but they are easy to work with and the wait is worth it.
