One of our fellow scrimshaw collector friends, Fernando Diaz, has a neighbor who makes these very nice display stands to properly present your scrimshawed or raw tooth for display. The spindles are turned from fine oak, stained a nice honey tone, and urethane-coated with a satin finish. The base has a felt protector. These stands are available in three different heights, so you can select the one best suited for your individual tooth. You can custom-trim the spindle length for the best esthetic look for a particular tooth, and a Sculpey plug can be formed to fit the root cavity to mount tooth as desired. These stands are available with either a round base (cylindrical tooth) or an oval base (wide, narrow tooth). Price is $20 each plus $3.85 for shipping either one or two stands.
